Inexpensive accommodation near the centre and the university in a peaceful and quiet residential area. Check from Google Map or this map. From Google Map You find also timetable links for buses and trains.

We are a youth hostel with two stars. Toilets and showers are in the corridor. The selfservice kitchen has a refrigerator, fridge freezer, oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, service, etc. There is also a 42 inch plasma-TV, karaoke-DVD-player and customer computer in the lounge. Extra features are free wireless network with internet connection and a barbeque in the back. There is also lockup cycle shed.

We have also one studio apartment with kitcenette and own toilet.

Bath towels or sheets are not included, but sheets are obligatory by hygienical reasons. Also with the sleeping bag is sheet needed. We sell sheets at price 5 euros. Disposable sheets are even cheaper. Sheet for sleeping bag costs 2 euros.

Free car park has room for buses too. There are also plugs for car heater.

Most of people in Finland have mobile phone, so there are few public telephones - in Joensuu none. When reception is open, You can call in the hostel. If You have own mobile phone and You are going to use it a lot in Finland, You'll better buy prepaid phonecard from R-kioski. Phone calls are much cheaper than with Your non-Finland phone card.

In summertime Reception is open 9-11 AM and 4-10 PM. So reservation is not obligatory, but recommended.

Reservation has to be redeemed before 6 pm if You haven't informed beforehand Your later arrival time. Delays should be informed immediately, otherwise reservation is interpreted as cancelled. Room could disappear:-(
